The National Catholic Conference For Interracial Justice (NCCIJ) was established in 1960 to foster civil rights advocacy in the Catholic Church.[1] It was a federation of the Catholic Interracial Councils that were established by John LaFarge first in New York City and then elsewhere.[2]
It grew out of the Catholic Interracial Council movement established by John LaFarge in New York City.
