Mytro (Korean: 마이트로, romanized: Maiteuro) is an upcoming five-member trot boy group formed by SM Entertainment and TV Chosun.
Career
[edit]Pre-debut
[edit]On August 12, 2024, SM Entertainment and TV Chosun announced that they will be collaborating to produce a trot boy group. The group will consist of five members and be produced by the composer Cho Yeong Su, who is best known for his work on TV Chosun's Miss Trot and Mr. Trot series, with SM responsible for managing the group's activities.[1]
On September 13, all five members were introduced on TV Chosun's reality program Falling for a Trot-dol: Lovestruck Noonas, which is produced by SM C&C and follows the group's debut journey. The members consist of former MR.MR member and Mr. Trot 2 contestant Tey, actor Seo Woo-hyeok, SM Rookies' Shohei, actor Jeong Yoon-jae, and former Mr. Trot 2 contestant Im Chaep-young. The show is scheduled to premiere in the first week of October.[2]
Official profiles of the members were then posted on the group's official X (formerly known as Twitter) account. Tey was released on September 14,[3] followed by Yoonjae on the 15th,[4] Shohei on the 16th,[5] Chaepyoung on the 17th,[6] and Woohyeok on the 18th.[7]
