Draft:Murder of Michael Mohn
On January 30, 2024, the decapitated body of Michael Mohn was discovered by his wife in their home in Middletown Township, Pennsylvania. Mohn's 32-year-old son Justin was arrested on suspicion of the murder after being found by police at a National Guard training facility in Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania.[1] Justin Mohn had earlier uploaded a video to YouTube displaying his father's severed head.[2]
Events
[edit]Michael Mohn's wife left home at around 2pm on January 30, 2024. She returned to find the door unlocked and her husband's car missing. Investigators arrived at 7pm to find Michael Mohn's decapitated body in the bathroom. His head was found wrapped in a plastic bag inside a cooking pot in one of the bedrooms.[2]
YouTube video
[edit]Justin Mohn uploaded a 14-minute video to YouTube titled "Mohn's Militia - Calls to Arms for American Patriots". In the video, he held up his father's head, claimed his father was a "traitor", and stated that his father was "now in hell for eternity".[3] He also called for the death of federal officials and encouraged attacks on United States president Joe Biden, the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBT community and Antifa.[3]
Arrest
[edit]Middletown Township Police tracked Justin Mohn's phone to the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, about 100 miles away from Middletown Township.[3]
