The Faculty of Information Technology (formaly known as Faculty of Computing and Information Technology) at Monash University is one of the 10 primary faculties at Monash University. It's located at Monash's Clayton campus in Melbourne, Australia, and has additional course offerings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Suzhou, China.
History
[edit]The Faculty was established as Faculty of Computing and Information Technology in 1990 following a merger between Monash University and the Chisholm Institute of Technology, later it was renamed to the Faculty of Information Technology. It was founded by Clifford John Bellamy, who became the founding dean and left the office in 1996.
Structure
[edit]The Faculty at Monash University’s Clayton campus operates three distinct departments, each offering a range of undergraduate, graduate, and certification programs. In addition to these departments, the Faculty is home to several specialized research labs and also hosts several prominent research centres and institutes
