Mojtaba Bahadori (nickname Moj) (born 3rd March 1982 in Shiraz, southwest Iran) is a Franco-Iranian film director, film producer, photographer and visual artist known for his film On Melting Snow (2024) for which he received the United Nations Climate Change Prize at COP 29.

Mojtaba Bahadori (also known as Moj) studied cinema at the University of Tehran and later perfected his art at the École Louis-Lumière in Paris, where he developed his skills as a cinematographer and editor. His career is marked by collaborations with filmmakers such as Chantal Akerman, Abbas Kiarostami and Béla Tarr.

Bahadori works in various fields, including photography and gemology . His work as a photographer was recognized with the IBDAA Award in 2008, and his works have been exhibited in France, Belgium and the United Arab Emirates.

Bahadori studied gemology in Antwerp, Belgium and has created visuals for prestigious jewelry brands such as Graff Diamonds, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tache, and Tolkowsky. He has also documented notable gemstones, such as the Lesotho Legend.

In 2024, he directed the documentary On Melting Snow , which explores themes of environmental healing and human introspection following the Covid-19 pandemic . Inspired by a period of global lockdown and nature's reclamation of space, he sought to capture the essence of these changes and humanity's connection to nature.

The film follows artist Sophie Cauvin as she explores altered landscapes and artistic creation, blurring the boundaries between nature and art. It was awarded the United Nations COP 29 Climate Change Prize[1][2][3].

Bahadori incorporates poetry and literature into his cinematic style, influenced by his mentors and his commitment to nature. His work explores complex themes such as nature, human experience and artistic reflection.
