Submission declined on 21 November 2023 by WikiOriginal-9 (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. Declined by WikiOriginal-9 10 months ago. |
- Comment: Though the subject is almost certainly notable, the article itself needs to show why. The article also needs to be written in an encyclopedic style. -Samoht27 (talk) 16:09, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: This individual is the president of the British University in Egypt and would thus pass notability under criterion 6 of Wikipedia:Notability (academics). There are sufficient secondary sources, mostly in Arabic, as well. However, the article needs substantial work to be written in Wikipedia style and to forefront why Loutfi is notable before it can be moved to article space. - Comment: Not clear how this is a notable WP:ACADEMIC. Not very many hits on Scholar. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 07:29, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
