Missile Ball is a variation of gridiron football characterized for its heavy usage of kicking.
Positions
[edit]Runfielder (R)
[edit]A fast and resistant player who attempts to improve field position by running down the field, evading tackles. Sets up the Caller for better kicking opportunities.
Kick Returner (KR):
[edit]Responsible for receiving the initial kickoff and snapping the ball to the Caller. Leaves the field after the play starts.
Kicker (K):
[edit]Begins each play with a kickoff to the Kick Returner to begin the play.
Holder (H):
[edit]Holds the ball steady for kicks.
Offense:

[edit]The strategic leader of the offense. Responsible for initiating kicks, directing plays, and making key decisions. The Caller can either kick the ball directly to attempt a field goal, pass it to a teammate, or hand it off to the Runfielder to improve field position.
Shortback (Sb):
[edit]Runs short routes to catch quick passes and evade the defense.
Wideback (Wb):
[edit]Runs longer routes to catch deep passes.
Endback (Eb):
[edit]Rushes towards the enemy endzone to catch long kicks.
Guard (G):
[edit]Blocks defensive players to protect the Caller during kicks.
Nose Guard (NG):
[edit]Positioned centrally to defend against direct charges from the defense.
Shield (SH):
[edit]Acts as a decoy or blocker to absorb tackles and protect key offensive players.
Defense:

[edit]Rushes downfield to tackle the Caller or Holder, aiming to disrupt their play.
Blocker (B)
[edit]Blocks offensive players and clogs up the offensive line.
Tackle (T)
[edit]Tackles offensive players to end their runs.
Interceptor (I)
[edit]Attempts to intercept kicks by jumping. Usually the tallest player on the field.
Coverback (Cb)
[edit]Covers receivers to prevent catches and attempts to intercept or tackle them.
Safety (S)
[edit]The last line of defense, protecting against long kicks and endbacks.
