Company Overview

[edit]

Meyer Aluminium Ltd. is a leading aluminium manufacturer based in Hong Kong, operating in the aluminum rolling mills industry. As a leading manufacturer, Meyer Aluminium Ltd. has its headquarters in Hong Kong, with an additional operation plant in Thailand and a distribution center in the United States.

Products and Services

[edit]

1. Aluminium Circles

[edit]

Meyer is one of the world's largest manufacturer of aluminium circles, with 85% of its output dedicated to this product. These circles find wide applications in cookware (non-stick pans, rice cookers, coffee pots), lighting reflectors (downlights, streetlights), and construction (curtain walls, ceilings). The company's aluminium circles are known for their excellent deep drawing and spinning quality, suitability for heavy-gauge cookware (up to 6.35mm / 0.25" thickness), superior surface quality for anodizing and lighting reflectors, and compliance with RoHS and REACH standards.

2. Aluminium Coils

[edit]

Meyer produces aluminium coils for applications in cookware, lighting reflectors, automobile components, and construction materials. The coils are characterized by excellent flatness, surface protection (paper interleave or PE coating), and high-quality anodizing properties. The company offers customizable dimensions based on order requirements.

3. Aluminium Sheets

[edit]

Meyer manufactures aluminium sheets for applications in cookware, lighting (downlights, high bay, streetlights), and structural components. The sheets feature excellent flatness, surface protection, and anodizing quality, making them suitable for deep drawing, bending, coating, and polishing. The company ensures well-protected packing for surface protection.

Key Locations

[edit]

1. Hong Kong Plant

[edit]

The Hong Kong plant focuses on producing hot rolled semis using advanced Vertical Direct Chilled (VDC) casting technology. It utilizes 5 melting furnaces, each with a capacity of 20 MT of molten aluminium, and employs the VDC caster, which produces 4 MT per slab. The plant is designed for high production efficiency while being environmentally friendly. Hot rolling processes are in place to ensure consistent quality, and the plant maintains product traceability through the Material Flow System (MFS). The output from this plant consists of slabs for further downstream processing.

2. Thailand Plant

[edit]

The Thailand plant uses Continuous Casting Process for producing high-quality aluminium strips. The continuous casting technology allows for thickness ranges between 3mm and 10mm and widths up to 1,600mm. The plant is equipped with a profile measurement device to ensure desirable profiles and consistent quality. It also houses advanced hot rolling, warm rolling, and cold rolling equipment with a total cold rolling capacity of 140,000 MT/year.

The Thailand plant is capable of rolling thicknesses ranging from 0.6mm to 7mm, with a coil width up to 1,525mm, and produces coils with a maximum size of 7 MT. The facility includes annealing, blanking, cutting, and packing lines, ensuring superior surface quality and scratch-free products. The output from this plant consists of high-quality aluminium coils, sheets, and circles tailored to customer requirements.

3. Meyer Aluminium Blanks

[edit]

Meyer Aluminium Blanks, founded in 1994, serves as the North American distribution arm of Meyer Aluminium Ltd. It is one of North America's largest metal service centers for aluminum products, stocking approximately 450 different alloy and size combinations of aluminum circles, sheets, and coils. The company provides same-day shipping for products from existing inventory and can process custom shapes within three days.
