Megan Hazel Alice Lockhurst (born May 18, 1984) is a Canadian actress, singer and songwriter.[1] Her film work includes Robert (2015), The Siege (2023), Escape (2023), I'll Play Mother (2024) Stand your Ground (2024) and Havoc (2024) starring Tom Hardy.
Early life and education
[edit]Megan was born in Georgetown Ontario, Canada to a Welsh mother, Lynne Lockhurst and Canadian father, Fraser Lockhurst.

Raised in Milton Ontario Megan attended the Sam Sherratt Elementary school before attending Milton District High School in 1999. With a focus on Dramatic arts and Musical Theatre Megan starred in school productions of 'Little Shop of Horrors' and 'Grease'. After graduating in 2003, Megan moved to Hertfordshire, England later relocating to Bristol where she began singing and songwriting for the alternative rock group 'She Said'. In 2006 Megan was hired by BBC Bristol to undertake PA work and to further her career she attended Bath Spa University for Broadcast Media (2007) where she received a foundation degree. In 2016 Megan completed the British Action Academy (BAA) - Phase 1, Warrior Master Class and continued to study more action disciplines under the tutelage of stunt choreographer Darren Le Fevre including martial arts, stunt and on-screen fighting. Megan also undertook studies of the Meisner and Stanisvlaski acting methods.
Film Career
[edit][edit] Megan made her professional acting debut in Steven M. Smith's film 'Essex Boys - Law of Survival' (2015) In which she portrayed an undercover cop. That same year Megan was cast in Andrew Jones horror film 'Robert' (2015), a story about a haunted doll.[2][3] Megan then starred in the short film 'Balloon Animals' and worked again with Jones in with roles in Jurassic Predator (2018), 'The Legend of Halloween Jack' (2018) and 'The Manson Family Massacre' (2019).[4] Next Megan secured parts in several horror films including 'Cupid' (2020) directed by Scott Chambers, Darren James King's 'April' (2021) and 'Torture' (2021) directed by Jason Wright.[5] In 2022 Megan worked again with Jason Wright on 'Mannequin' and later that year was cast as lab technician 'Sarah' in thriller film 'The Siege', directed by Bradley Watson.[6][7] The following year Megan secured another film role playing 'Robyn' in Howard J Ford's film 'Escape' (2023) which went on to have an Egyptian cinema release.[8] Working again with director Brad Watson, Megan played the part of 'Elise' in the film 'I'll Play Mother' (2023) produced by Ben Charles Edwards alongside Kirsty Bell (Goldfinch). The film is set for a worldwide cinema release in 2024. In 2024 Megan played the role of 'Abigail' in Fansu Njie's action film 'Stand Your Ground' and in July 2024, Megan was cast in action film 'Havoc' directed by Gareth Evans, (Gangs of London) and 2nd assistant director Xavier Gens (Under Paris). Shot on location in Cardiff, it stars Tom Hardy, Timothy Olyphant and Forest Whitaker.
