Dr. Meenu Singh was trained as a pediatric Pulmonologist at the Children’s Hospital, University of Pittsburgh, USA in 1994-95. Since then, she consistently worked in India in the field of Pediatric Pulmonology at the Advanced Pediatrics Centre, PGIMER, Chandigarh. She is in charge of the pulmonology clinic in the Advanced Pediatric Centre. Dr. Meenu Singh also heads the telemedicine center now designated as a department of telemedicine at PGIMER using technology developed by ISRO and DIT. She is also in charge of the Regional Resource Centre and National Knowledge Network at PGIMER and has developed a wide-ranging tele-education network of medical colleges. She is a member of the steering cum coordination committee for telemedicine and e-learning of MoHFW. She is also chairperson of the Suo Motto committee of PGIMER, Chandigarh.

She has been a pioneer in Evidence-based child health in India. Considering her outstanding contribution in this field ICMR has built a Centre for Advanced Research in Evidence-based Child Health (March 2012-March 2018) at the Advanced Pediatric Center in PGIMER, Chandigarh. This center has produced high-quality systematic reviews and advising policy on immunization strategies, newer vaccines, etc. The center has now been sanctioned by ICMR for the next five years (Nov 2019-Nov 2024) as the Centre for Advanced Research in Evidence-based Child Health phase-II. The capacity in the field of evidence-based child health is also been developed for the northeast region with the support of ICMR, New Delhi.

She conducted several TB awareness camps in the UT of Chandigarh in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Chandigarh. She continues to be the Editor of Cochrane Library. She is also the Editor in Chief of the official website of PGIMER and a member of the research committee of PGIMER. She continues to chair the SAC of ICMR advanced center for Research for respiratory disease at AIIMS, New Delhi. She has been the principal investigator for ICMR Advanced Centre for Research on Evidence-based Child Health. She continues to head the Department of Telemedicine. She is Chief Editor -the PGI website. She was s Nodal Officer – National Knowledge Network (NKN), Regional Resource Centre (RRC) PGIMER, Chandigarh. A Regional Resource center and a center for Excellence in AI have been started at AIIMS Rishikesh. She is the Co-chair of Cochrane India Network.
