MD Mojaffar Hussain (born 22 July 1984) is a well-known businessman from Uttar Dinajpur, a district in West Bengal, India. He is recognized for his contributions to the pharmacy sector, where he has built a successful business over the years.
Early life and education
[edit]MD Mojaffar Hussain was born in the village of Beharia in Uttar Dinajpur to Habibur Rahaman. He began his education at Chakulia High School and later attended Islampur College in the Uttar Dinajpur district. He completed his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree there, laying the groundwork for his future business endeavors.
Career
[edit]In 2002, with a starting capital of just ₹5000, Hussain entered the pharmacy business, aiming to improve his family’s financial situation. His dedication and hard work paid off, and he soon became a distributor for companies like Medeor Pharma and Lark Company. Over the years, his business expanded, and he now distributes medicines for eight companies, including notable names like Dr. Reddy's, Sun Pharma, and Leeford.
Today, his business is valued at approximately ₹5 crore, and he has significant capital investment in the pharmacy sector. As the business grew, Hussain brought his brother on board as a business partner, and together, they achieved even greater success.
Bengal Chemist and Druggist Association
[edit]In 2005, Hussain joined the Bengal Chemist and Druggist Association (BCDA) in the Islampur zone, an association within an all-India drug union. Through his commitment and leadership, he eventually became the president of the BCDA in his zone.
