The film was announced on 8 March 2023, with Andrea Iervolino producing.^[1] Robert Moresco was announced as the director on 31 March 2023.^[2]

Casting

Anthony Hopkins joined the cast on 14 October 2024.^[3] Michele Morrone joined the cast on 17 October 2024.^[4]

Filming

Filming will take place in Bologna.^[3]
