Martijn Leisink is sinds 2017 docent wis- en natuurkunde aan het Stedelijk Gymnasium Nijmegen en was wethouder in Arnhem. Als wethouder was hij verantwoordelijk voor "voor financiën, ict, p&o, mobiliteit en grondzaken".^[1]. Daarvoor was hij gemeenteraadslid in Arnhem en lijsttrekker en Statenlid voor de Provinciale Staten van Gelderland. Tijdens de landelijke verkiezingen van 2021 stond Leisink op de lijst van D66 voor de kieskring Arnhem^[2]
