Mallu Iqbal Khan, was a prominent military leader in the army of Mahmud Shah II,the last sultan of the Tughlaq dynasty to rule the Delhi Sultanate. He played a significant role in the political landscape of the Delhi Sultanate following Timur’s invasion in 1398. After the Mongol invasion, Khizr Khan, who would later establish the Sayyid Dynasty, was appointed as the viceroy of Multan. During this time, Mallu Iqbal Khan held significant influence and acted as the de facto ruler of Delhi.

[edit]He belonged to a Khanzada Muslim Rajput family. He was the son of Khanzada Bahadur Khan and grandson of Raja Nahar Khan, who was a Rajput ruler of Mewat.
Death
[edit]In 1405, Mallu Iqbal Khan was defeated and killed by Khizr Khan as he sought to consolidate his power and eventually take control of Delhi. His death marked a pivotal moment in the rise of the Sayyid Dynasty, which was founded by Khizr Khan in 1414 after he successfully captured Delhi.
