Mahir Bureković is a Bosnian folk singer and guitarist famous for his patriotic songs during the Yugoslav Wars.

Early Life:

He was born in the village of Janjići near Zenica. He began making music in 1982 with his debut songs "Tužno Će Mi Biti Proljeće Bez Tebe" and "Kako Možeš S Drugim Srećna Biti."[1]

Music during the Yugoslav Wars:

During the Yugoslav Wars, Mahir composed a patriotic song called "Mudzahedin" which the song is glorifying the Mudzhahedin and considering them as a "Turkish son." He also made the song "Dzihadom se Bosna Brani" where he claims that "Bosnia defends themselves with Jihadists."
