Madrsti is an online learning system that was generated by the Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia during Corona epidemic to facilitate learning for kindergarten, elimentry school, middle school, and high school. The platform continued its diverse services for students and teachers even after the epidemic has ended.
Background
[edit]The Ministry of Education has announced to postpone the normal learning process in Saudi Arabia due to Corona's outbreak and it was considered as a measurement to deal with the epidemic. This decision was issued on Mars 9th in 2020 until other notice. Also, the decision included both sectors private and governmental education besides colleges and Technical and Vocational Training Corp (both government/private sectors) and online learning has started for all learning stages.
On April 16th, the Ministry of Education has decided to upgrade all males and females students to the next grade of their current stage and continuing the learning processes.
On August 15th, the Minister Dr.Hamed Al-Shaikh has announced continuing online learning for the next year for all students at all grades for the first seven weeks. That period was for assisting the possibility of going back to traditional learning. He added, the theoretical subjects will be taught online for universities and corps and the practical subjects will be taught in site. Later on October 8th, it was decided that the learning process for the first semester will be online for all students.
Method
[edit]Entering Madrsti Platform is through linking Microsoft account to Tawklna account which was established by the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence. So, the students will enter Madrsti platform and write down their email and then password and a page will show up where they can enter virtual classes and do assignments and tests and ask teachers any questions. Entering virtual classes is through a system that Microsoft Company has established which is Microsoft Teams that is unique for its quickness and ability to handle a lot of users at the same time.

[edit]During Corona Virus and the outbreak of so many viruses and diseases, the internet has became a solution for all the problems of careers postpone.That is through establishing websites and educational platforms that work on not postponing the learning process and teaches the students at their homes with having to attend gatherings such platforms is Madrsti Platform. This platform reduces the possibility of spreading the virus and programming scheduled times for all grades. Meaning, for the middle and high school the virtual classes start at 9 a.m. and continues until 2 p.m. As for elementary school, the virtual classes starts from 2 p.m. and continues until 8 p.m.
The platform has helped the continuing of the learning process with the experts and parents support. Almost more than 6 million students benefit from 1 thousand virtual classes. In addition to, 525 thousand teachers, parents, administrators that can engage in this educational system.

[edit]Madrsti Platform has became a trend on Google's search engine in Saudi Arabia. Its benefits started to become clear after the seventh week has passed and parents have became familiar with the platform.
Online Learning Consortium
[edit]In 2021, the Online Leaning Consortium (OLC) has announced the participation of number of global parties. The second international developmental study for online learning in Saudi Arabia during the Corona pandemic with 453.879 students, teachers, parents, and faculty members. Among which, more than 387 thousand participant from government schools and more than 65 thousand from higher education.
The study included the comparison of Madrsti platform with best 7 international platforms and 174 countries.
Madrsti Platform Services
