The company Liner began in 2015 started as a web highlighter tool, allowing users to mark and save important information online[1][4].

In 2019, Liner introduced its search assistant, a personalized web based on Liner's recommendation system, powered by its highlighter data[4].

By 2023, Liner AI is introduced, specifically designed to assist researchers and university students by providing credible information efficiently[4].

As of 2024, Liner has raised $33.4 million in funding. Atinum Investment, InterVest, LB Investment, Samsung Venture Investment, and CJ Investment are 5 of 19 investors who have invested in Liner[5]

The platform also offers a suite of AI tools, including a text summarizer, PDF summarizer, video summarizer, grammar checker, homework helper, citation generator, and a writing assistant.
