Lilongwe National Park is a national park in Malawi. It is located in the capital city of Lilongwe, Malawi.[1] Spanning over 1800 hectares, the park is home to a diverse range of animal species, including zebras, antelopes, warthogs, and various bird species.[1] Lilongwe National Park is divided into two sections: the nature sanctuary as well as the forest reserve. The nature sanctuary offers guided game drives where visitors have the opportunity to spot wildlife in their natural habitats whereas the forest reserve provides a serene environment for walking and bird-watching to visitors and tourists.[1]
Flora and fauna
[edit]The vegetation of the park consists mainly of Miombo woodland with grassy river channels, known locally as Dambos.
