Animal Acting
[edit]Leila started her animal acting career in 2022 when her owner Kaylie was contacted by a company looking for a brown Labrador Retriever for their advertisement. Leila was 1 year old when she booked her first shoot in July of 2022 and was cast as the backup. She nailed all of her commands on set and the clients fell in love. This led to her getting an agent based out of Michigan and getting her "paw in the door".[2]
Shortly after her first photoshoot, she was cast for another one in October 2022. After that, Leila started getting cast for more and more projects. She has travelled to Cincinnati, Ohio, Chicago, Illinois, St. Louis, Missouri, and Denver, Colorado for projects thus far.
One of Leila's most lengthy projects can be found in the Purina app. She is featured in multiple videos showing pet owners how to train and engage their dogs. She also can be found in multiple Purina social media advertisements and at the end of a Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diet commercial.

Media
[edit]Leila is a notable instagram influencer with over 30,000 followers. Her followers enjoy watching daily life with a fun, loving Labrador Retriever and her toddler brother. Her instagram highlights all the activities she participates in and shows all the fun things dogs can do.
Leila has a children's book written by her owner Kaylie Devlin. It highlights her favorite activities including dog sports, service dog work, therapy dog visits, and cuddles with her family.
Life at Home
[edit]Despite all these accomplishments and fun activities, Leila has a great "off switch". Her favorite thing is quiet days/nights at home with her family. She is the best big sister to her little brother Lincoln. She enjoys food (hence her nickname Chocolate Chunk) and will remind you of supper time by bringing you her food scoop. She enjoys cuddles in bed at night and on the couch during the day. Her favorite toy is her giant minion stuffed animal and favorite treat is any type of dog cookie. She loves her family and is the best girl.
Around the time Leila was 1-2 years old, her owner Kaylie Devlin started having high heart rate episodes (tachycardia). Leila was naturally alerting to these episodes by being more clingy and not performing in her dog events. Once Kaylie recognized this was happening, she worked to train Leila's alert to a paw/jump to alert. Leila now successfully alerts to a high heart rate and will perform deep pressure therapy to help lower the heart rate. She does an amazing job keeping her mom safe.
