Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

LayerZero is the trademarked brand name of technologies developed by LayerZero Power Systems, Inc., an American designer and manufacturer of power distribution products. The company was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Aurora, Ohio. The company specializes in mission-critical power distribution equipment for various industries, focusing on ensuring uninterrupted power supply and advanced monitoring capabilities.
History
[edit]LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. was founded by Milind Bhanoo and Jim Galm in 2001. Initially based in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, the company formed a manufacturing alliance with Russelectric to enhance its manufacturing capabilities. Early developments included the OPTS Static Transfer Switch and the ePODs product line.
In 2009, LayerZero introduced eBOSS, a web-enabled back office system software. In 2012, the company released the 4000 A Series 70 eSTS, one of the largest Static Transfer Switches at that time, and relocated its operations to Aurora, Ohio. Throughout the decade, LayerZero focused on product safety and monitoring technologies, introducing SafePanel and the INSIGHT IR® system for remote temperature monitoring.
In the 2020s, LayerZero expanded its manufacturing capabilities and technology offerings. Key milestones include developing INSIGHT IR® during the COVID-19 pandemic, opening new facilities in Aurora and Streetsboro, Ohio, and enhancing Waveform Capture Technology.[1][2][3]

Trademark Infringement Lawsuit
[edit]In 2011, LayerZero Power Systems initiated a trademark infringement lawsuit against Ortronics. The case, which was adjudicated by the USPTO Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), concluded with a ruling in favor of LayerZero. The TTAB determined that Ortronics had not utilized the "LayerZero" trademark in commerce prior to LayerZero's filing of the trademark application. Moreover, the TTAB found that Ortronics' use of the trademark was likely to cause confusion among consumers. The cancellation of Ortronics' trademarks "Layer Zero" (serial number 77580392) and "Layer 0" (serial number 77580391) was confirmed by the TTAB's decision.[17]
