Kurt Goblirsch is an American author, linguist, and professor of German and Linguistics at the University of South Carolina. He has published several books relating to these subjects, including Consonant Strength in Upper German Dialects (1994) and Gemination, Lenition, and Vowel Lengthening: On the History of Quantity in Germanic (2018). He resides in Columbia, South Carolina.
