Kitty Clive was a 1956 TV play about the celebrated 18th century comedienne, Kitty Clive. It was made by the BBC, produced in black and white and screened on 27 March 1956.[1][2]

Plot

Kitty Clive a 18th century comedian gets an acting role in "The Boy Friend" show at the Wyndham's Theatre while her acting friends John Hall and Colley Cibber get an acting role in "The Rivals" at the Saville Theatre.

Kitty Clive was broadcast on BBC Television on 27 March 1956 and was later rebroadcast once on BBC Television on 24 April 1956.[3][4][5] The movie is fully intact and is available to watch at the British Film Institute and on TV Brain as well.[6]
