Khazi muhammad or qadi (Malayalam:ഖാസി മുഹമ്മദ്[1] ) was a 17th century poet and Qazi who lived on the city of kozhikkode in 17th Century. He is best known for his works Muhyudheen mala and Fath al mubin[2]. Muhyudheen mala is considered as the oldest surviving arabi malayalam work in existence.

WORKS
[edit]- Muhyudheen mala : an ode to Muhyadheen abd al Qadir al gilani written in arabi malayalam. it is a type of malapattu
- Fath al mubyn: Titled 'Al Fathul mubyn lis samerial ladhi yuhibbul muslimeen' translated as the ' victory of zamorin of calicut who is a lover of muslims'[2]. It is written as a recollection of wars between zamorin of calicut and portugeuse traders of 16th century.
