Swami Kamleshwaranand (born Kamlesh Kumar Hari Harnath Shukla on August 15, 1974) is an Indian spiritual leader and founder of Dhyan Yog Jan Jagriti Seva Sansthan. He established the Dhyan Yog Sadhana Shakti Kendra (Brahmanand Ashram) and is known for his work in reviving traditional spiritual practices and Ayurvedic medicine.[1]

Early life and education

[edit]

Kamleshwaranand was born in Gyanpur, Badohi, Uttar Pradesh, India to Hariharnath Narpati Shukla and Jayaraji Shukla. He was affectionately called "Chatar" by his father during his childhood. He showed spiritual inclinations from an early age, participating in extended Om Naad chanting sessions with his father for 2-3 hours during worship.[1]

During his childhood, he experienced several spiritual incidents that shaped his future path. After recovering from a serious illness at age 5-6, he reported having visions of Lord Hanuman, which led him to become a devotee and begin reciting the Hanuman Chalisa and studying the Sunderkand chapter of the Ramayana.[1]

He completed his post-graduate education while maintaining his spiritual pursuits.[1]

In 1996, Kamleshwaranand met his spiritual guru, Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali, and received formal initiation (diksha) on August 8, 1996.
