Joshua Imahfidon is a multi talented entreprenuer, he is a singer, songwriter, producer, fashion designer, metal engineer, web developer and businessman based in Memphis, Tennesse, USA. Born to NIgerian Parents in Agege, Lagos State, Joshua traces his roots back to the Ewohimi Kingdom, in Esan South East, Edo State. Due to his Multifaceted expressions, he has he has been described as a " Renaisance Man of the Modern Era[1]".[2]
Early Life
[edit]Joshua King Bolatunji Imahfidon, currently known as Jhay Songz, was born to Nigerian parents in Idi Mangoro, Agege, Lagos State, Nigeria, on October 18, 1994. From his early days in primary school, where he displayed his talent as a drummer, to his subsequent years playing his flute in performances at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Jhay Songz's musical journey began early. He is the eldest of three sons of his parents.
Musical Career
[edit]Joshua King Bolatunji Imahfidon is a vocalist, singer, and songwriter who possesses proficiency in flute playing. Presently, he is affiliated with two record labels: Caffè Music Group and All Tribes Entertainment. His songs are known for “soul-stirring melodies and thought-provoking lyrics”.
He is a member of Tribes Unit. Imahfidon’s creative pursuits extend into the entertainment sphere with his cinematic venture, “King Of The Crunk Beat,” earning acclaim for its innovative approach[3]. His artistic repertoire spans albums, fashion blogs, and sports playoffs. He is known for his fusion of Crunk Beat and Sweet Sticks, and has been lauded for pushing “artistic boundaries, captivating audiences worldwide”.
In the early 2005 Jhay Songz founded the group Triple Jays and in 2008, established Tribes Unit alongside his brother, Kvy Rhymes.Tribes Unit experienced brief lineup changes, but continued to produce, recording numerous unreleased tracks and an official promo CD album in 2008, later released in 2009.
Jhay Songz holds the position of CEO of Caffè Music Global Label Limited. His sound is distinctive, characterized by a fusion of Crunk Beat and Sweet Sticks, Known as the Rastafari King, he has been described as the embodiment of “European Black Excellence”
In June 2024, The Caffè Factory Africa, founded by Jhay Songz in 2017, announced the revival of its record label, with a mission to “catapult the infectious rhythms of Crunk music onto the global stage”. The Caffè Factory Africa has been said to have been “founded with a commitment to pioneering entertainment ventures”. The Caffè Factory Africa entered an exclusive distribution partnership with the Caffè Group Of Company while rooted in Italy, specifically Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna. Jhay Songz, expressed enthusiasm about the label’s rebirth during the launch, stating, “Our goal is to create a platform that not only celebrates the diversity of Crunk beats but also provides a stage for emerging artists to showcase their talent. We believe in the power of music to unite people across continents, and our label is a testament to that belief.”
Business Career
[edit]As the CEO of The Caffè Factory Africa, a prominent food and beverages factory in Nigeria, and the proud owner of The Caffè Fashion Blog Limited, which encompasses a slew of ventures including awards, magazines, television channels, museums, and model management agencies, Jhay Songz has solidified his status as a visionary entrepreneur.
In 2022, Jhay Songz acquired The Caffè Group of Companies Nigeria Limited and Caffè Group Italia. Since then, he has held the position of CEO of Caffè Music Global Label Limited and is the owner of Freedom Ecstasy Sports Playoffs, a league encompassing football, basketball, athletics, and tennis[4].
