Joseph Daniel Tuten was a state legislator in Florida. He served in the Florida Senate. His post office was in Jasper, Florida and he represented Hamilton County, Florida.[1] He also served as assessor of revenue in Hamilton County, Florida.[2] He also served on the Hamilton County Board of Public Instruction.[3] He was also listed as serving in the Florida "Assembly".[4]

He was documented as taking care of a lunatic.[5]

The second of his five children with Julia née Bryan Tuten was named Joseph D. Tuten and became a doctor in Louisiana.[6]
