Jonathan Kravtchenko (/ˈkræv.tʃɛŋ.koʊ/; Russian: Джо́натан Кравче́нко; born June 2, 2004)is a Canadian pianist and composer.[1][2] His music is primarily classical, with influences from Jazz and World genres.[3]
Early life
[edit]Jonathan Kravtchenko was born in Toronto, Ontario on June 2, 2004. Jonathan was raised in a family with a love for music; his interest in music began at a young age when his father brought home a small toy keyboard for him to play with.[4] By the age of 9, he regularly attended masterclasses and recitals at the University of Toronto.[3] He proceeded to study at the Royal Conservatory of Music[1] before he decided to pursue private studies with Canadian composers Robert Jennings and Gerry Shatford (of the Shatford Jazz Trio). He currently receives mentorship from composer John S Gray.[3]

[edit]In 2023, Jonathan Kravtchenko founded InterMusic Entertainment Group.[5]
Style
[edit]Jonathans music has been described as mixing "classical and modern features, with elements from tango, folk and jazz music."[5] His style "[has] gained a loyal following."[6]
