John Clinton Watson (January 28, 1878 – May 8, 1970)[1][2] was a justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court from January 1, 1925 until December 31, 1934, having been defeated in his bid for reelection. He ran again unsuccessfully in 1936.
Born near Alma, Michigan, Watson "graduated from the University of Michigan in 1898. He began his law studies at the University of Michigan college of law and completed his work at George Washington University".[1]

Watson's son, John T. Watson, also briefly served on the New Mexico Supreme Court.[2]
