John Brierley (2 April 1948 - 2 July 2023) was the author of guidebooks about the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage routes in Spain, Portugal, and France. He was a chartered surveyor in Ireland who decided to devote himself to writing guidebooks about the various Camino de Santiago routes after discovering the Camino during a sabbatical from work. He published detailed maps and guidbooks about several Camino trails over the years. He kept his maps and guides up to date by walking Camino routes every year.
