Joey Buchanan (born May 13, 2007) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays for Canadian Premier League club Vancouver FC.

Early life

Buchanan began playing youth soccer with Squamish YSA, later joining Mountain FC and North Vancouver FC.[1] In 2023, he joined Burnaby FC, where he won both the B.C. provincial championship and the Under-17 boys National Championship.[2]

Club career

In 2024, at age 16, after participating in the club's open trials,[3] Buchanan signed a developmental contract with Canadian Premier League club Vancouver FC, which allows him to continue playing with his club team and VFC's affiliate Burnaby FC in League1 British Columbia.[4][5]
