=Jeevan Vigyan Foundation=

Jeevan Vigyan Foundation (JVF) was established in 2011 as a non-profit or non-governmental organization in Kathmandu, Nepal, with the mission to guide individuals or seekers on a path of personal and spiritual growth. The organization's founders are, late Mrs. Basanti Nepal, Mr. Ramesh Nepal and Mr. L P Bhanu Sharma. Mrs. Nepal, wife of Mr. Ramesh Nepal, left for eternal reunion with the Almighty soon after the launching of foundation which as the name means the Science of Living.

Ever since the grounding of the organization for the benefit, Mr. Nepal and Mr. Sharma have remained the sole duo of life coaches and spiritual masters (popularly called satgurus or simply gurus. They have been spiritually leading the organization together with those practitioners of JVF’s teachings as individual beneficiaries and spiritual seekers. The duo spiritual masters at different times during their practices called sadhana attained self-realization or enlightenment and began to spread their knowledge and practices to the common people. Self-realization has been defined by Paramahamsa Yogananda as below.

The knowing—in body, mind, and soul—that we are one with the omnipresence of God; that we do not have to pray that it come to us, that we are not merely near it at all times, but that God's omnipresence is our omnipresence; that we are just as much a part of Him now as we ever will be. All we have to do is improve our knowing.

This definition comes out of the teachings of one of the greatest enlightened masters who connected the spirituality in the oriental and occidental seekers as his divine goal with the practice of Kriya Yoga.

In an yet another era of spiritual outreach, Mr. Nepal and Mr. Sharma, the duo gurus of Jeevan Vigyan, over the period of about 13 years until mid-2024, have reached out to over 2 million followers within the Nepali Diaspora from around the world. They have trained more than 2,000 individuals to become assistant teachers or trainers who have been helping the foundation prepare seekers or practitioners to follow the path towards one's ultimate goal of knowing oneself which has been termed as self-realization or samadhi. The masters begin the spiritual training of a seeker or a follower by showing the seven stages of the spiritual path or journey to reach samadhi which can be stated as the six practices of (i) Yama or external disciplines, (ii) Niyama or internal disciplines, (iii) Asana or postures in Yoga, (iv) Pranayama or breath control, (v) Pratyahara or withdrawal of the senses, (vi) Dharana or concentration, and (vii) Dhyan or meditation to ultimately reach the final or the eighth stage called Samadhi or state of bliss or union with the Supreme Consciousness.

There are over 200 Yoga Learning and Practice Centers run by the JV Trainers or Assistant Teachers either through remote (zoom) hosting or physically that are called Prayogshalas. They assist seekers and other practitioners learn and practice the first four stages of the spiritual path. The fifth stage, Pratihara, is expected to emerge from the practices of the 4 stages. SImilarly, other stages can be attained with the divine guidance of the Satgurus or the spiritual masters who have been guiding those determined to follow all the seven steps towards attaining self-realization or knowing oneself and one’s divine goal.

The two gurus are widely acknowledged in Nepal for their spiritual teachings, as life coaches and inspirational motivators who provide spiritual development discourses to all generations from youth to the elderly with various strategies used in contemporary management and human psychology all the while paying close attention to the physical health of the participants. They are also known for their philanthropy throughout the country and abroad mostly amongst Nepali diaspora in more than 65 countries.

The founders fervently believe that spirituality is instrumental in an individual's growth leading to greater progress and prosperity of the society in the direction of the motto of universal brotherhood or Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (In Sanskrit meaning “The world is one family”). Jeevan Vigyan’s spiritual education is based on traditions and human values of oriental ancestors and sages who have over the ages given the Sanataan Dharma a library of scriptures and manuals of spiritual life. These scriptures provide divine direction to individuals and the entire society towards harmonious living amongst various earthly species and non-living environments following the age-old motto of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

The activities of Jeevan Vigyan (JV) or Science of Living have been designed to enable self-realization of oneself with the Super Consciousness or Krsna Consciousness or Christ Consciousness that direct the humans as the most superiorly developed living beings or species of this world that can live in harmonious coexistence with the environment if they consider the rights of all beings to live according to their own level of consciousness.

The spiritual teachings incorporate the art and science of living a happy, healthy and prosperous and yet spiritually motivated life through yogic practices, meditation and various natural and psychological sciences while following various principles of management and development of the self towards ultimate unconditional happiness and prosperity which have already been stated as the seven stages of reaching Samadhi.

Jeevan Vigyan not only uses the methods propounded by oriental enlightened masters but also those espoused by spiritual leaders and masters among the ancient Greeks and Hebrews. JV incorporates also those from the Middle East Asia and other parts of the western world that have strived over the ages to bring forth the message of harmonious living with self-realization. As the name states Vigyan (Science), JV techniques are based on modern science mainly human anatomy, physiology, psychology and scientific principles of management in its various courses for prosperity and healthy living using ancient techniques that have been proved with modern research in social and natural science.

The primary spiritual message or goal of the organization through its spiritual education and practices is collectively encapsulated into three words in Sanskrit or Nepali or Hindi as Sukh (Happiness), Shanti (Peace), and Samriddhi (Prosperity/Affluence). They can be achieved while following the path of righteousness and practicing the noble truths that have been given to humankind in various eras with the progress of human civilization from the alleged cave dwellings to the present affluence in the society. Despite the knowledge and wisdom, human society, as the gurus say, is marred by the horrors of misery, suffering and animal behavior amongst humankind. Thus the world needs the universal message Vasudeva Kutumbakkam with spiritual awakening of the societies that engage in conflicts and not universal peace. There are several courses and regular practices taught by the gurus that comprise the spiritual path of seven stages towards samadhi and world peace as the tall mission of the organization.

JVF is in the process of getting international recognition by tailoring its course in Nepali language into English, Hindi and other languages to register its spiritual education with Yoga Alliance such that its trainers can receive international recognition and expand the activities to reach unserved sections of the human society. With international recognition, the satgurus and the band of JV trainers (assistant teachers called Prashikshaks) are in the course of steering this spiritual organization throughout the world with the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and self-realization. JVF aims to reach out to all seekers and practitioners irrespective of sex, faith, color, creed, race and other divisions of human society.

==Activities or Spiritual Learning Courses ==

Jeevan Vigyan (JV) Foundation and its branches offer yoga and meditation opportunities to seekers and practitioners through daily rendering of physical and remote or online opportunities. Its main center or the headquarters at Chabahil Kathmandu, Nepal provides modern spiritual education based on ancient wisdom and experiences of the sages and enlightened spiritual masters including Gautama the Buddha, Mahavira and many other saints, and present and past masters from Nepal and India. These main courses are periodically offered at the center called the Dham or in towns and cities that have JVF teaching centers called Prayogshala. The major courses are listed below and briefly explained.

===Chakra Vigyan Module===

Chakras are the primary centers of energy that lie in the subtle body along our spinal column. They were located and known through the research of sages and scientists of the remote past from the Himalayas to the Indian Ocean. They have shed the knowledge obtained through meditation and practice to mankind. It was stated in various texts by ancient spiritual masters and yogis about how human life energy is considered as Kundalini (serpentine flow) through the nerve channels (naadis) to the seven primary nerve centers (called Chakras) to enter our body and into the mind. This energy expresses itself as the human power of concentration, noble attributes, and spiritual intelligence.

As energy flows through the nerves and the body, human life and its living attributes become healthy, energetic, and positive. For this, the Chakras require to be fully energized as healthy and active by emanating physical and spiritual energy. Humans experience various diseases and other negative aspects like fear, lethargy and depressing inhumanly habits if the Chakras are not well developed, unhealthy and out of synchronization with the Kundalini energy flow.

The Chakra Vigyan Module is a seven-day specialized program during which the practitioners use methods of yoga, humming and sound vibration with mantras to awaken and/or heal damaged major five energy centers on the human spinal column, one in the thoracic region and the seventh one on the cranial region. One will be able to comprehend the secrets of a healthy and prosperous living in joy and happiness with a physically and mentally healthy body and active mind, equipping oneself with positive emotions leading to deep spiritual progress towards self-realization.

===Bodh Vigyan Module ===

All human awareness constitutes spiritual consciousness called Bodh or being aware. First, one becomes aware of the external stimuli to the sense organs that form the causes of human awareness. Bodh Vigyan is an intensive meditation course that is acquired through yogic practice or yogic exercise with pranayama leading to one’s awareness of the depth of the incessantly flitting nature of the mind. With the understanding and functioning of the mind, a practitioner of Bodh Vigyan (Inner Cognitive Science) can apply spiritual or divine methods to eliminate his/her miseries by casting away negativities. It helps to experience oneself or bear witness or be a Sakshi of his/her own level of consciousness and discover it as different from one’s body, mind, and intellect. The Bodh Vigyan program shall help one experience better physical health, deep inner peace, and improved understanding of human life and gain deeper spiritual wisdom. Inner cognitive science prepares the practitioner (Sadhak or Sadhika) towards deeper spiritual practice which would enable one compassionate living to achieve self-realization.

The program or course module is intensively provided in a closed-door environment at the JV Center by one of the two spiritual masters. This course is a prerequisite for the Laya Vigyan course which paves the spiritual pathway towards understanding the nature of self-realization with constant practice.

This course module for seven days is physically provided as a 56-hour course with a spiritual syllabus for 10 hours every day with two meal breaks and two short recesses.

The primary benefits of the course are spiritual awakening leading to inner peace and tranquility that vitalizes the inner energy sources. It empowers the individual and helps develop his/her approach towards life for self-found inner prosperity.

===Laya Vigyan Module===

Laya Vigyan can be directly translated as the Science of Inner Consciousness. This is the key component among the spiritual education courses offered by Jeevan Vigyan. It immediately follows a vibrant course called Bodh Vigyan (Inner Cognitive Science). Bodh Vigyan explores the seeker’s consciousness in the spiritual realm as his/her first cause of awareness. This intensive and meditative course delves into the depths of the human mind, understands its abstract functioning and applies yogic techniques to eliminate negativities and miseries.

This modular course is customized only for those who have completed and graduated from the Bodh Vigyan course without any absence. Laya is provided only for those who want to personally expect to experience the divine and begin to live spiritually. Since God or the Omniscience or the Omnipresent or Krsna Consciousness or Christ Consciousness is not a person one can meet during spiritual journey but is a divine source of energy that reverberates within each living being. The Laya activities, when practiced in earnest, will help the seeker understand and transcend his/her physical and mental existence to delve into the depths of spirituality defined by infinity.

The three main spiritual pathways for a seeker to choose from to live a divine life are:

(1) Gyan Yog (or the path of knowledge);

(2) Karma Yog (the path of action), and

(3) Bhakti Yog (the path of devotion),

One of these pathways will lead the seeker to the advanced Dhyan Yog (meditation and mindfulness) for the spiritual awakening and the transcendental experience of the Divine. S/he gets to know and experience in her/his own heart that enlightens with a clear understanding. Such an insight can provide her/him with the capacity to appreciate the spiritual scriptures and discourses of the Masters of all ages and religions.

The course, like the Bodh Vigyan, is provided in a closed-door environment and comprises seven-day physical (in-person) classes with one of the spiritual masters in attendance and has been packaged as a 56-hour course. During the period of the course, one gets to experience spiritual energy in the closed rendering. The spiritual masters state that they can invoke the energy of the self-realized souls during the course to energize the seekers in the center but cannot invoke outside in other locations. All seekers are expected to retain silence during the course and only speak when necessary to converse with the gurus or the trainers.

The benefits to the seekers are mainly his/her spiritual awakening, finding inner peace, tranquility, vitality and prosperity with empowerment and self-development leading to a life guided by divinity.

===Saat Vigyan Module===

Saat Vigyan is an advanced course which can only be taken after completion of Bodh Vigyan and Laya Vigyan courses. It is held once a year for those who consider themselves ready to practice for inner realization. This advanced course has been developed to delve deeper into one’s inner self to experience the Source of Creation or Omnipresent God by following the spiritual path of devotion or Bhakti using highly advanced techniques. The seeker can experience Divine Love as the nectar within oneself leading to the establishing of eternal connection with Cosmic or Universal Vibration called the Pranav Dhwani the Aum or the Holy Ghost which is regarded as the sound that reverberates as the interchangeable energy and matter in the universe.

The course is expected to lead one on the path of Aum Asatoma Saatgamayah which in Sanskrit means to (lead one from the untruth to the truth). The inner realization teaches the seeker to remain connected to the Soul in harmony with the Great Universal Source of the universe. The practitioner can align his/her life, profession, and other spiritual and material possessions in this life from a fresher perspective that can bring about restructuring of priorities and reengineering all one’s life’s direction towards divinity while functioning as a Kriya Yogi. One can fulfil one’s daily duties and responsibilities to one’s family, society and to the great Source of Divinity all at the same time. The seeker can learn to tune in to Divinity by living a spiritual life of inner joy, peace, and blissful prosperity.

The main benefits stem from the deep Spiritual Connection leading to the seeker’s fresh perspective to one’s life while s/he delves into the divinity gained through advanced spiritual practices. Several practitioners during the course can even attain the spiritual state when they can “view” or know about past lives or their previous incarnations.

Like Bodh and Laya Vigyan courses, this module is of seven-day physical class alternatively conducted by one of the spiritual masters at Jeevan Vigyan Center. It is considered as a 56-credit course in the entire spectrum of the spiritual educational curriculum of Jeevan Vigyan.
