Jacqueline O. Lopez-Kaw is an educator, lawyer, and human resources practitioner. She is currently the Dean of the University of Santo Tomas Graduate School of Law[1]. She passed and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2007.[2]

As a professor at the UST Faculty of Civil Law since 2008[3], she has educated future lawyers in Labor Standards, Labor Relations, Social Legislation, and Labor Law Review, instilling ideals of justice and professionalism. She played a crucial role in student-centered policy reforms and initiatives, having served as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Letters in 2023[4], Director of the UST Human Resource Department from 2010 to 2022[4], and Faculty Secretary of the Faculty of Civil Law 2008 to 2010[4]. Further, she championed fair labor practices by holding crucial roles in the university's collective bargaining negotiations. She was appointed Vice-Chair (2021-2026)[5] and Chair of the Management Panel (2011–2016 and 2016-2021) for the support staff collective bargaining negotiations.[6][7]

As a partner at DivinaLaw, Lopez-Kaw specializes in areas such as Education, Labor and Employment Law, Crisis Management, and Policy Reform, demonstrating her breadth and versatility in the field..[8] Her early work as a Court Attorney in the Supreme Court of the Philippines under Justice Alicia Austria-Martinez (Ret.) and as an associate at Divina and Uy Law Office significantly enhanced her depth of knowledge and practice of law[8]

She has earned multiple degrees from UST: including a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Management, graduating Magna Cum Laude (2002); a Bachelor of Laws, graduating Cum Laude (2006); a Master of Laws, graduating Summa Cum Laude (2016); and a Doctor of Civil Law, graduating Summa Cum Laude (2019).[4] Additionally, she is a Certified Human Resource Professional recognized by the International Federation of Professional Managers (United Kingdom) in 2019[8]. She also received certification from the Asian Institute of Management through its Human Capital Management Program in 2010.
