حركة جبهة أنصار الشام الإسلامية in english Harakat Jabhat ansar al sham al islamiyya or Islamic Front for the supporters of the Levant Movement is a coalition of multiple Islamist units that coalesced into a single brigade and later a division in order to fight against the Syrian Government led by Bashar al-Assad during the Syrian Civil War they are particularly based in the Syrian city of aleppo but had a unit in the capital Damascus (Liwa al mujahideen fi Damascus)( Mujahideen of Damascus brigades) made up of 500-700 Fighters.
Jabhat ansar al sham is mainly made up of Syrians with some foreigners mainly from north Africa (Tunisia and libya Roughly 200-300) and from the UK.

كتائب جبهة أنصار الشام in english Kata'ib jabhat ansar al sham or front for the Supporters of the levant bregade is a militant organization based in Damascus and aleppo from 2013-2014 until a merger with Ahrar al halab to create Harakat jabhat ansar al sham al islamiyya. Kata'ib Jabhat ansar al sham is made up of Syrian Jihadis and revolutionary fighters.

Liwa al Sharqiya was the final appearance of Jabhat ansar al sham in the Damascus area with many of its members in Damascus joining ahrar al sham or jaysh al islam and what was left of them in aleppo they got consumed into other JAAS Brigades
Liwa al Sharqiya was active in the Damascus area primarily Jobar from 2013-2014 as Kata'ib jabhat ansar al sham and then as Liwa al Sharqiya from 2015-2015 while having presences the Rif Dimashq Governorate aswell as Ghouta with only 100 in aleppo with pressure from 2014-2015 by the Syrian army and its shia allies Liwa al Sharqiya ,
was forced out of Jobar by fellow reble group Ar Rahman Legion and by continuous bombinga by the Syrian air force and in 2015 by the Russians so the remaining Liwa al Sharqiya members in Ghouta and the Rif Dimashq Governorate joined Ahrar al-Sham and Jaysh al-Islam the remaining Fighters in aleppo joind the Kata'ib mujahideen fi halab a fellow bregade in Jabhat ansar al sham
