Ivan Koklja was a Belarusian singer of the 17th century. He served in the Polotsk Epiphany Monastery. In 1656, by decree of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, he was invited to Moscow with his family, with the promise to "reward for his service," and in the case that he did not wish to work in Moscow, he would be allowed to return to Polotsk.[1]
