Isuofia is one of the 14 towns in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra state, in eastern part of Nigeria. Its primary spoken language is Igbo language, but majority of the residents can speak and understand basic English and Nigerian pidgin English.
It is a town rich in cultural heritage and has its traditional ruler as His Royal Highness, Igwe (Col) Aloysius C. O. Muoghalu, Isu 2 of Isuofia. Isuofia is home to the former Central Bank of Nigeria's governor and current Governor of Anambra state, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, former Miss Nigeria (Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2011), Sylvia Nduka, Commissioner for Industry and Special Adviser to Governor of Anambra state on Trade & Markets, Mr Evarist Uba -- as well as other notable individuals.
Isuofia town is located in-between Igbo-ukwu and Ekwulọbịa towns in Anambra state, and is made up of 6 villages which are: Isiaku, Ezioka, Umueze, Akulu, Ozalla and Okpoko.
The highest leadership body of Isuofia is the Isuofia People's Assembly (I. P. A.), which is made up of the chairmen and representatives of all the six villages. And has its main market day as Orie, and the market is known as Oye Afụzọ market.
