Draft:Internal developer platform

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An Internal Developer Platform (IDP), also known as platform, is a self-service environment aims to streamline the entire application lifecycle, from development to deployment. IDPs offer a range of integrated tools and services to software developers that boost productivity. By shielding away infrastructure complexities, IDPs allow developers to concentrate on coding and delivering features with minimal dependence on operations teams. [1][2][3]

The field associated with the creation and management of IDPs is known as platform engineering, which focuses on enhancing efficiency and consistency in the software development process.
