Inter Arma is an American post-metal/sludge metal/death metal/doom metal^[1] band from Richmond, Virginia, founded in 2006.^[2]

Musical style and influences

Their style of music is a wide mix of subgenres, including death metal^[3], doom metal^[4], and sludge metal^[5], and including influences identified outside of heavy metal, such as southern rock^[6]

Themes

The band touches on larger dark themes such as apocalypse and death^[7], and more personal topics such as addiction and suicide ^[8]
