Iman Ibrahim is a dedicated Junior Doctor with an MBChB from Hawler Medical University and experience in a Public Health exchange program from Washington State University. Recognized for her innovative contributions and humanitarian efforts in healthcare, Iman has over 8 years of experience in non-profit leadership. She is a passionate advocate for accessible, quality healthcare, particularly for cancer patients and marginalized communities.

Early Life and Education: Born and raised in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, in 1996, Iman completed her primary education with honors, which enabled her to attend a private high school on a scholarship. By the age of 12, she was proficient in English, Arabic, Turkish, and her native Kurdish. Driven by a desire to make a significant impact, Iman innovated a bomb detection system during high school, earning gold medals both locally and internationally at the INESPO competition. Her achievements led to an invitation to speak at TEDx in 2014, at the age of 18.

Career: Iman graduated high school with a top score of 97/100 and pursued her medical degree at Hawler Medical University, beginning in 2015. Her early activism led to her selection as a Global Shaper underage, where she served as a Shadow Shaper for two years before becoming the curator of the Erbil Hub. Under her leadership, the Erbil Hub received recognition as the most active hub worldwide among 375 hubs and a grant from WEF Chairman Klaus Schwab, the hub was also awarded grant by the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani.

In 2016, Iman co-founded an award-winning cancer support charity, where she served as Executive Director and Fundraising Manager for six years. Even after relocating to London, UK, she continued her cancer support work by founding Wigs 4 Kids KRI in 2022, an initiative providing free real hair wigs for cancer patients and collecting hair donations.

Iman participated in the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program funded by the U.S. Department of State, received public health training at Washington State University, and attended diversity and inclusion sessions at Wayne State University. She has also participated in exchange programs at Beijing International Studies University and other conferences across China, the USA, Czech Republic, Egypt, Jordan, and Qatar.

Iman is currently a Junior Resident Doctor in the Kurdistan Region and shares her insights on medical trends through the Medium platform. Her interests include cancer support, hematology, and AI in healthcare. Recently, she was appointed as a Fides Healthcare Influencer by the World Health Organization.

Personal Life: Iman is the youngest of five siblings, all of whom are accomplished doctors and engineers.

Publications and Media: Iman authored an undergraduate research paper on The Severity of Autism and its Associated Factors in Erbil, which she presented at an international conference.

Future Goals: Iman aims to contribute to improving the healthcare system in Kurdistan and to advance AI applications in healthcare.
