Igor Klokov (* 1994 in Yelets) is a classical guitarist and guitar teacher.

Life

After completing his bachelor's degree with Vladislav Blaha at the Janáček Academy of Art in Brno, he continued his musical education in Germany. He studied in the class of Prof. Hubert Käppel at the Koblenz International Guitar Academy as well as at the University of Music Mainz (Master's and Konzertexamen). Additionally, he studied at the Haute École de Musique de Genève in the class of Prof. Judicaël Perroy (Master-Soliste).

Igor Klokov is considered one of the outstanding talents of his generation and has earned an international reputation through numerous first prizes at competitions (XIII Concurso Internacional de Guitarra de Sevilla, XXVII Concurso Internacional de Guitarra 'CIUDAD DE CORIA,' Concurso Internacional de Guitarra 'Cidade de Lagoa,' Koblenz International Guitar Competition Hubert Käppel, International Guitar Competition GuitarArt in Belgrade, to name a few).

In September 2024, he won the 2nd prize at the 56th Concorso Internazionale di Chitarra Classica 'Michele Pittaluga' in Alessandria. In 2020, he released his debut CD 'Hommage' on the AureaVox label, recorded after winning the Koblenz International Guitar Competition Hubert Käppel. The recording includes, in addition to the music of Rodrigo and Giuliani, the complete Piano Partita No. 6 by J.S. Bach.

Igor Klokov performs internationally and is a regular guest at music festivals worldwide. In addition to his concert appearances, he gives masterclasses and serves as a juror.
