History

[edit]

IGB Berhad's was founded on June 1, 2000, under the private limited company in Malaysia, Dimensi Subuh Sdn Bhd. A few months later, on November 23, 2000, it became a public limited company and in early 2001 changed its name to Gold IS Berhad. By July 2005, it had changed its name to Goldis Berhad.[3]

In 2002, IGB became a listed company through the amalgamation with IGB Corporation Berhad and Tan & Tan Developments Berhad, making IGB Corp one of the largest property corporations in Malaysia[4]. In 2014, IGB Berhad made a voluntary general offer to take over the rest of the shares in IGB Corp. By 2018, IGB attained complete control of IGB Corp by way of a Scheme of Arrangement.[5]
