Hydrate Nightclub, or simply Hydrate, is a gay bar in Chicago, in the U.S. state of Illinois.

Description

Hydrate is a gay bar in Chicago. It is renowned for its DJ lineups and lighting and remains open until 4PM or 5PM on Saturdays^[2].

History

The bar opened on the Pride Weekend in 2003^[3], taking over the space previously occupied by the gay nightclub Manhole^[4].

Shea Couleé hosted a weekly show called #FACE at Hydrate^[5]. Hydrate has featured other queens who would go on to compete on Drag Race, including DiDa Ritz^[6], Pearl^[7], Kim Chi^[8], and Silky Nutmeg Ganache^[9].
