Hounslow Heath School is an inclusive community primary school opened in January 2024 in the London Borough of Hounslow as a result of an amalgamation of the predecessors Hounslow Heath Junior School and Hounslow Heath Infant and Nursery School on the same site.[1][2]
The school is located on Martindale Road, Hounslow, TW4 7HE.[3]
The headteacher as of March 2024 is Mrs Ritu Aulakh who was formerly the headteacher of Hounslow Heath Junior School.[4]
The school has an age range amongst its pupils of 3 to 11.[2] The school provisions Nursery Classes, as the predecessor Hounslow Heath Infant and Nursery School previously did. [5][2]
Proposal to amalgamate
[edit]On the 2nd of November 2022, a formal meeting was held by members of the London Borough of Hounslow, the Local Authority (LA), at both the Hounslow Heath Infant and Nursery and Hounslow Heath Junior schools to present a proposal to amalgamate. Parents/carers, staff and governors were invited as stakeholders.[6]
The purpose of the meeting was to share information about the proposal to amalgamate the schools and to receive staff views and record feedback.[6]
It was the LA's view that the alagamation would be a positive way to continue school improvement.[6]
