Hot Sun Cool Shroud is an upcoming EP by American alternative rock band Wilco. It is set for release on June 28, 2024, to coincide with Wilco's Solid Sound Festival.[2]
Music
[edit]The EP is made up of music that was attempted during the sessions for their 13th album, Cousin. According to a statement from vocalist Jeff Tweedy, “There are tracks on Hot Sun Cool Shroud that are more aggressive and angular than anything we’ve put out in a while, and a song about love melting you like ice cream into a puddle of sugary soup. All the pieces of summer, including the broody cicadas.”[3]
