Henan dialect, also known as "Yü language", "modern central plains dialect", "modern central plains pronunciation" and "modern central plains tone". It is a Chinese Central Plains dialect, with about 106 million users. Henan dialect is mainly distributed in the vast area of the northern part of the main course of the Huai River in Henan Province. There are also Henan dialect speakers in the surrounding areas of Henan Province, such as southern Hebei Province, southern Shandong Province and northern Anhui Province, northern Jiangsu Province and Changsha City, Hunan Province.
