Helga Susanne Goebbels was the oldest daughter of Jospeh and Magda Goebbels. Magda Goebbels had a son from her previous marriage called Harald Quandt. Helga was born on the first of September 1932. When she was a Baby, she would barely cry. She was a very calm and quiet baby. In 1934, he mother gave birth to her younger sister Hilde. Helga and Hilde shared a Nursery while Harald had his own. The two sisters became incredibly close. They would play boardgames and self made games together. Helga and Hilde had a favorite game which their nanny Käthe remembers; „I still remember, in the evening we sometimes had drawn up the drawer of the bureau, when their mother was in Berlin. All sorts of photos were in it. We laid on the floor and looked at all the photos. Among them, there were photos of Günter Quandt, Magdas first husband, who was already a little older. Helga and Hilde could make pretty fun of the photos of „old grandpa Günter Quandt“.“ In the years following, Magda gave birth to four more children. Helga loved to look after her youngest 3 sisters. In a well known footage of the Goebbels children picking berries, Helga is seen picking berries for Holde and Hedda and giving them to the two girls. In 1945, she was poisoned by her own mother in the Führerbunker on the first of May 1945. It is commonly believed that Helga fought against her mother trying to squish the pills between Helgas teeth.
