The Heather Cutler Foundation is a Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for pancreatic cancer patients. Founded in June 2024, the foundation aims to be a comprehensive resource for pancreatic cancer patients in Canada, focusing on self-advocacy in smaller healthcare settings.

History

The foundation was established in honor of Heather Cutler, a nurse of 35 years, who battled pancreatic cancer for two years, and who’s journey to John Hopkins highlighted regional disparities in smaller provinces of Canada, and the need for self-advocacy to align smaller healthcare Centers in Canada with bigger cancer Center’s.

It began as "Team Heather" , with the Cutler family and a close group of friends raising $3,000 at their inaugural event, and raising $10,000 at their second attendance at "Kicking PancreAS" event in June 2024 in support of Craig’s Cause.

Activities

The Heather Cutler Foundation engages in various activities to support pancreatic cancer patients:

Future plans
