Lidströmer obtained his juris utriusque degree at Uppsala University in 1899. He became an acting notary in the Svea Court of Appeal and the Stockholm City Court that same year. Lidströmer served as a court clerk in judicial districts and held several judge appointments from 1900 to 1902, as well as several appointments as mayor and alderman in Nyköping from 1902 to 1904. He was an acting county clerk at the County Administrative Board of Södermanland County in 1903, became permanent in 1904–1906, notary public there from 1906 to 1918, county assessor from 1918 to 1922, and landssektreterare (an older Swedish title for highest executive officer in a county, but not identical to the present county governor) in Älvsborg County from 1922 to 1937. He held several public and private trust assignments, notably serving as acting secretary in the City Council of Nyköping from 1903 to 1906, permanent secretary from 1906 to 1909, city councilor there from 1909 to 1920 (vice chairman from 1911 to 1912, chairman from 1913 to 1916 and in 1920), secretary of the Smallholding board of Södermanland County's agricultural society from 1904 to 1906, ombudsman at the Södermanlands Enskilda Bank from 1905 to 1913, and board secretary from 1913 to 1922. Lidströmer published Contributions to the Interpretation of the Poor Relief Convention with Denmark and Norway (1915), Procedural Prerequisites and Statutes of Limitations According to the Poor Relief Act (1922), and several journal articles.[2] He was made a Knight of the Order of Vasa in 1922[3] and of the Order of the Polar Star in 1927,[4] and was promoted to Commander of the Second Class of the latter in 1937.[5]
