Introduction
[edit]Govt. Raja Sir Ramavarma Higher Secondary School is a public school located in Velur, Thrissur District, Kerala, India. Established on June 1, 1925, this school is one of the oldest in the Thrissur district.
History
[edit]Govt. Raja Sir Ramavarma Higher Secondary School was founded on June 1, 1925, under the name Durgavilasam High School by KA Venkateswaraiyar, the first headmaster. Initially a private institution, it was later taken over by the Kochi government. The name was changed to Govt. Raja Sir Rama Varma High School in honor of the King of Kochi. In 2000, the school began offering higher secondary education and was renamed to its current title.
