Giovanna Ciocca (September 5, 1972 – Present) is a Colombian pediatric dermatologist based out of Miami, Florida. Giovanna is known for her practice, Ciocca Dermatology, as well as her various appearances on news outlets such as CNN and Univision.

Giovanna was born in Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia and received her primary and secondary education at Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, translated in English as the College of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She then attended medical school at the Universidad del Valle (English: University of Valle) (1989-1986). After completing her intern year at the Mario Correa Rejinfo hospital, Dr. Ciocca worked for 2 years as a private surgeon at Centro Médico Imbanaco (English: Imbanaco Medical Center). During that time, Giovanna got married and moved to Miami, Florida in the United States after attaining a dermatology clinical and research fellowship position at the Rendon Center for Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine. During her fellowship, Giovanna met and was mentored by the late Dr. Marta Rendon, founder of the aforementioned Rendon Center (2000-2003). Due to Giovanna's international medical degree, she was required to take the USMLE exam for medical licensure, as well as repeat her board exams. During these years, Giovanna would spend all of her time studying for the exams and working, as well as raising her first daughter Isabella Ciocca. Upon completing her fellowship, Giovanna began a 3-year medical residency in pediatrics at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, where she remained for another year afterwards and completed a second fellowship in pediatric dermatology (2003-2007). Giovanna became board certified in Pediatrics in 2007, and board certified in Dermatology in 2008.

Giovanna is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (2003-Present), American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Dermatology (2005-Present), US Colombian Medical Association (2000-Present), Florida Medical Association (2003-Present), Miami Dermatology Society (2007-Present), Pediatric Dermatology Society (2007-Present), and the American Association of Physician Specialists (2008-Present).

Giovanna continued working at the Nicklaus Children's Hospital Skin Center from 2006-2011 together with Dr. Anna Duarte. In 2010, she accepted an associate professor position at Florida International University, and in the same year had her second daughter, Annabella Ciocca. In 2011, she founded Ciocca Dermatology, a private pediatric dermatology practice in Miami, Florida. In 2018, she founded Skin Research of South Florida, a clinical research laboratory, in order to continue her passion for research and provide her patients with cutting-edge care. Giovanna developed an interest in autoinflammatory diseases while conducting research with Dr. Rendon, and has focused much of her current research on biologic medications.

Today, Giovanna continues to work as a Pediatric Dermatologist at Ciocca Dermatology, and is the Principle Investigator and Director of Skin Research of South Florida. She also continues to teach as an associate professor at Florida International University, and is now part of multiple editorial committees for high-impact research journals. She also oversees rare clinical cases at Baptist Health South Florida and Nicklaus Children's Hospital when needed. Furthermore, Giovanna is a Key Opinion Leader for pharmaceutical companies whom she works with to develop novel therapies and medications for patients with debilitating skin diseases. Giovanna has also delved into the media world, and has been invited to speak at various news outlets including CNN, Univision, Un Nuevo Día, and La Voz De La Mañana.
