Gargoyles is an upcoming American drama series developed by Gary Dauberman for Disney+. A live-action reimagening of the 1990s animated series of the same name, the series is produced by Atomic Monster Productions.

Attempts at a live-action adaptation of Gargoyles date back to the 90s, when Disney comissioned a live-action feature film adaptation to be written by Jim Kouf, but was cancelled. Filmmakers such as David Elliot & Paul Lovett and Jordan Peele attempted to develop their own live-action adaptations of the series throughout the years. The series was eventually announced in October 2023, with Dauberman as showrunner.

Synopsis

After awakening from a centuries-long spell, Goliath, the last member of a race of humanoid gargoyles, protects New York City alongside NYPD detective Elisa Maza as he investigates his past.[2]
